About the reports

  • Diverse neighbourhoods: an analysis of the residential distribution of immigrants in Ireland uses spatial data from the 2016 Census to study residential patterns among migrants in Ireland. It investigates to what extent EU migrants, non-EU migrants and people with poor English language proficiency are concentrated in particular areas. It also presents information on the socio-demographic characteristics of the areas in which members of these groups live in their greatest concentrations.
  • Policy and practice targeting the labour market integration of non-EU nationals in Ireland looks at policies and measures that target the labour market integration of non-EU nationals living in Ireland. Relevant actions in the Migrant Integration Strategy are discussed, along with examples of practices from the public, private and community sectors.
