15,000 fewer asylum applicants registered in the EU-27 during the first nine months of 2010 compared to the same period in 2009

A European Commission (Eurostat) publication on Asylum applicants and first instance decisions on asylum applications in third quarter 2010, shows that around 15,000 fewer asylum applicants registered in the EU-27 during the first nine months of 2010 compared to the same period in 2009.
