Common European Asylum System
The European Parliament has adopted several measures that form the future Common European Asylum System. These include the Reception Conditions and Procedures Directives as well as the Dublin Regulation.

Schengen Governance
The European Parliament also voted on a reform of Schengen governance. This includes two legislative proposals: a proposal strengthening the Schengen evaluation and monitoring mechanism; and a proposal for the coordinated reintroduction of controls at internal borders in exceptional circumstances (amending the Schengen Border Code).
