Thailand added to Irish Short-Stay Visa Waiver Programme

Minister for Justice and Equality, Alan Shatter, announced that from 18 November 2013, citizens of Thailand can avail of the Irish Short-Stay Visa Waiver Programme.
The Visa Waiver Programme allows visitors who hold UK short-stay visas and who have travelled through the UK to travel on to Ireland for up to 90 days without the need to apply for a separate Irish visa.
List of countries to which the Visa Waiver Programme will now apply:
Nationals from Eastern Europe
- Belarus
- Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Montenegro
- Russia
- Serbia
- Turkey
- Ukraine
Middle East
- Bahrain
- Kuwait
- Oman
- Qatar
- Saudi Arabia
- United Arab Emirates
Other Asian Countries
- India
- Kazakhstan
- Peoples’ Republic of China
