This EMN Synthesis Report provides an overall insight into the most significant political and legislative (including EU) developments, as well as public debates, in the area of migration and asylum in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom for the period 1st January 2009 to 31st December 2009.
The report was also used in the elaboration of the Commission‘s Tracking Method Report on the implementation of the European Pact on Immigration and Asylum.
