This legislation amends the Employment Permits Regulations 2017 to introduce an annual minimum remuneration for health care assistants, care workers and home carers on a General Employment Permit of €27,000 and in respect of which the minimum hourly rate of remuneration is €13.31.
For horticulture workers or meat processor operatives, the minimum remuneration is amended to €30,000 and in respect of which the minimum hourly rate of remuneration is €14.79.
For all other General Employment Permits, the annual minimum remuneration is amended to €34,000.
