SI No. 364 of 2022

This Order amends the Immigration Act 2004 (Visas) Order 2014. It removes the exemption from the requirement to be in possession of a valid Irish visa when landing in the State for a stay of up to three months for holders of travel documents issued by EU/EEA States party to the 1951 Geneva Convention relating to the Status of Refugees. This followed a government decision to temporarily suspend the operation of the Council of Europe Agreement on the Abolition of Visas for Refugees (Council of Europe) for a period of 12 months.
