Launch of National Integration Fund 2020 for promoting integration of migrants into Irish society

The National Integration Fund 2020 for the promotion of the integration of migrants into Irish society has been launched.

A sum of €749,600 per year over a maximum period of three years will be available for projects that help migrants integrate into Irish society. A total sum of €2.2 million may be committed over the three-year period.

The fund will provide grants of between €10,000 and €250,000 to projects that, for example, combat racism and xenophobia, increase mutual understanding between local communities and immigrants and undertake research on interculturalism and/or integration. The National Integration Fund 2020 is a key element of the Government’s Migrant Integration Strategy for 2017-2020.

Applications are open to both private and public bodies and the closing date is 12pm on 10th September. Applicants can access a detailed guidance document and complete an online application form at: https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/NIF2020.
