An essential resource for students, academics and researchers, the latest version of the EMN Glossary offers an EU-wide multidisciplinary vocabulary of approximately 500 terms and concepts related to migration and asylum, which are translated into over 20 languages.
Since its first publication in 2010, the Glossary has been a valuable resource for practitioners, policymakers, and researchers in the field of migration and asylum. It is developed by a dedicated working group within the European Migration Network which collaborates with the European Commission, EASO, FRA, FRONTEX, the Council of the EU, the Court of Justice of the EU and international organisations, such as UNHCR and IOM.
The purpose of the EMN Glossary is provide EU harmonised terminology on migration and asylum to ensure comparability and a common understanding of concepts in order to make communication easier for policymakers, legislators, practitioners, media, and people interested in the topic of migration.
