Generally low levels of residential segregation of migrants in Ireland

Diverse neighbourhoods: an analysis of the residential distribution of immigrants in Ireland found that migrants are not concentrated in areas of disadvantage and are relatively evenly distributed across neighbourhoods in Ireland. This is positive because integration is more challenging when migrants are segregated from the host population. However, the study points to some challenges for migrant integration.

Collective efforts are needed to help non-EU migrants access employment in Ireland

Policy and practice targeting the labour market integration of non-EU nationals in Ireland looks at some of the challenges faced by non-EU migrants in Ireland, including reduced labour market mobility, labour market access for family members, low recognition of foreign qualifications and a lack of targeted measures to develop skills.
